Human readable summary:
You should read this whole document. However, we like having plain language which summarizes some of the important terms:
We know doing business requires trust and we want you to trust us. Therefore, we wish to be totally upfront with you regarding the information we collect about you and how we will keep it safe.
When you visit our website, your computer sends non-identifying information to our server so that it knows how to serve you (for example, it will tell us what variety of web browser you use, what page you want to view, and what language you prefer your web pages to be written in). We make absolutely no attempt to link this data to you personally, but use aggregate numbers (for example, “25% of our visits last month were from people using Macs”) to optimize our operations.
When you send us an email or use the contact us form, we take note of your email address for the purpose of replying to that email, if what you have to say requires a reply.
We don’t spam. You can give your email address to us for various purposes, for example to sign up for our newsletter. We’ll tell you how much email you can expect to get and for what purpose. We won’t sell or disclose your email address under any circumstances. You can ask us to stop sending you email at any time.
We receive reports from our advertising partners (Google, Yahoo, etc) about how many people click on our advertisements, and how many of these people eventually go on to our site. We don’t tie these numbers to any customers in particular, but rather use them to improve our advertising campaigns.
We track which web pages are of most interest to our best customers. For example, we can tell whether most people who go on to VGS Global blog are more insterest in tutorials or general news. We make no attempt to discern this about any particular visitor or customer. If you would rather we not track which pages you are viewing anonymously, you can turn off cookies (please see your browser documentation for how to do this).
Notification of Changes to This Policy. VGS Global is continually improving and adding new functionality and features to its websites and improving and adding to our existing products, services, and programs. Because of these ongoing changes, changes in the law, and the changing nature of technology, VGS Global’s data practices will change from time to time. If and when our data practices change, VGS Global will post the changes on our websites to notify you of the changes. We encourage you to check this page frequently. This policy was last updated on 5th September 2006.

For all such services, we will provide an opportunity to “opt-out” of, or cancel, the subscription. Anonymous Data Collected Through www.vgsglobal.com In addition to the information you provide when you use our websites, VGS Global uses technology to collect anonymous information about the use of our websites. For example, we use technology to track how many visitors access our websites, the date and time of their visit, the length of their stay, and which pages they view. We also use technology to determine which web browsers our visitors use and the address from which they accessed our sites (for example, if they connected to a VGS Global website by clicking on one of our banner ads).
This technology does not identify you personally. It simply enables us to compile statistics about our visitors and their use of our sites. VGS Global and our affiliates use this anonymous data and share it with third parties to improve the content and functionality of our websites, to better understand our customers and markets, and to improve our products and services.
While no method of data transmission is guaranteed against unlawful third party interception or other misuse, VGS Global uses commercially reasonable efforts to ensure protection of your data including industry-standard encryption and offline security methods in our physical facilities.
